Replica Tom Dixon Etch Web pendant lamp (silver)
Design by Tom Dixon, 2012.
The Etch Web Pendant Light is a vast shade with an unusual open structure, designed to cast atmospheric angular shadows when lit. Another experiment in Tom Dixon's long running exploration of mathematics and geometry, an irregular pentagon shape is repeated 60 times across the body to create a total sphere. The enormous globe is astonishingly lightweight with a correspondingly ethereal visual attitude. Formed from stainless steel through a process called digital photo-acid etching, the Etch Web surrounds a halogen lamp to make it the ultimate shadow play pendant.
