Replica Louis Poulsen PH 80 floor lamp
Design by Poul Henningsen, 1947.
The PH 80 Floor Lamp was put into production after Poul Henningsen's death, as a celebration of what would have been his 80th birthday. Being a man of the future, Henningsen had been working with plastic materials as the new material for his fixtures. The PH 80 Floor Lamp is made of opal acrylics, instead of glass, with the intention of making a less expensive product with the same lighting characteristics as a glass fixture.
The PH 80 Floor Lamp emits diffused light with the majority directed downward. The opal acrylic shades provide comfortable lighting, while the red hue of the top reflector gives the light a warm glow. The PH 80 Floor Lamp is composed of a black base with a chrome plated steel stem with white opal acrylic bottom shades and a black polycarbonate top shade. Ships with 9 feet of cord with on/off switch.
